2012 Viriditas 5 Day Workshop

At Viriditas, Gisborne, NZ with Isla Burgess

Jan 30th to Feb 3rd, 2012

What a 5 day plant retreat offers that is different?

Throughout the 5 days you will experience a full immersion in the plant world.

‘Viriditas’, the place where I live is unique in its own energy; it is expansive, dynamic and expressive.

Both contribute to an experience that will enrich your life, influence the way you think, work, live and eat.

Each day will focus on 3-5 medicinal plants, easily grown, common and accessible. From each plant’s unique character, to its ‘language’, its known and unknown uses medicinally. How knowing a few plants really well, allows you to use them differently and with wisdom medicinally. An understanding of our evolutionary connection and current development in Quantum Physics and other Holistic Science principles leads to exploring the healing process at another level and with different eyes.

You will each have a project to present on the last day.

Discussion topics for meal times or evenings range from diets (of course), current herbal medicine, to world views (Spiral Dynamics, Holistic Science) and more. You can request topics for discussion.

Practical Options include

-manufacturing – we will prepare something each day and have an easily made percolator running.

- field trip to see different plant places eg bush

An itemized Certificate of Hours is provided.

You will each receive workshop gift of a copy of ‘Staying Healthy in a Changing World’ by Isla Burgess. 80 pages of excellent information on ‘Superfoods and Superweeds and the A,B,C of Grassroots Medicine’ that you can download.
